We tried a new thing this year ~ an extra fun/special teacher banner. The boys helped me cut out the heart chain, glue on the white hearts, which had the letters printed on, and decorate w/ a few tiny heart accents. I thought they turned out great. It made me happy when I volunteered in Merrik's class to see Mrs. Campiglio's banner displayed above her classroom door. :)
The day of M's valentine party was also "100 DAY" at school, celebrating the 100th school day of the year. He had a class project to make either a t-shirt or a hat with 100 something on it as decoration. M decided to do 100 dots. So within the number 100 on his shirt, he put 100 fabric paint dots! And he counted each one very meticulously!
For the kid's valentine exchange, the boys usually get to pick a fun, usually bug- or superhero-themed valentines pack to pass out to their classmates. However, we always make special ones for the teachers. This year we made peek-a-boo Valentines for them. When folded, you just see the eye cut-outs, then when opened, there's a cute photo of Jonah/Merrik & a little note for the teacher. They loved them!
